Market Research/Marketing Projects:

Fortune(R) 200 corporation launching a new service

The Problem:  For this telecommunications company, entrepreneurial growth spurred by the backing of the mother company brought about unbelievable growth.

Our Solution:  As the service launch date approached, Jo set systems and procedures in place to ensure a smooth transition and to track growth from the test phase.  Once the service was available in the market, demand grew exponentially.  She analyzed potential markets and service locations.  Jo recruited a qualified analyst to assist on this long-term project.  Eventually, she grew into a position where she was the leader of the Headquarters Project Office.  This office was the focal point between three different departments and 7 regional offices.  She was the key contact for over 40 personnel involved in this project.  The program is now a permanent one, headed by the assistant that she had originally selected.

Researching the impact of September 11th for a state agency

The Problem:  Due to the lack of a reporting infrastructure, the actual impact of 9/11/01 on small businesses in Manhattan was unquantifiable.

Our Solution:  We developed a business owner survey that delved into and collected over 120 points of data.  The client mailed the surveys to 300 business owners that they were aware of.  JJC targeted over 30 business associations, relief organizations and business assistance agencies that would be in touch with the target market.  Our efforts now reached out to thousands of small businesses.  Once the survey results were in, JJC compiled and analyzed the data to produce a comprehensive summary.

Launching a new small business

The Problem:  Imagine being a Chef, who just loves to cook, doesn't have a business background and is being hired with increasing frequency for private occasions.  It's obvious that it's time to go into business for yourself...

Our Solution:  We organized him with his sales pitch, marketing materials, a website -- even starter business cards!  He received advice from us on how to approach potential clients, networking opportunities, where to go for classes and how to think like a business owner.

Surveying high fashion clientele

The Problem:  For this ultra-modern online apparel company, asking the customers what they wanted wasn't as simple as it sounds - the majority of their sales flowed over the Internet.

Our Solution:  We created a comprehensive survey for the company to attach to its website.  In order to save the customers time and increase the response rate, it was placed in an extraordinarily simple-to-answer format.

Demographic research for a major university

The Problem:  This university was filing for a grant and needed population demographics as well as visual aids to prove their case.

Our Solution:  We supplied them with a selection of high quality maps that compared their statistics. The client's point was proven with clear visuals that gave them an advantage in the achievement of their goals.
